Hair Serums and Everything Inbetween

These are the serums and hair products that I use after every time that I wash my hair. I try to avoid washing my hair that frequently, as disgusting as that sounds its due to the fact that 1. Its not good for your hair to be washed again and again as your removing the natural oils in your hair every time you wash it and 2. My hair is already mega damaged from the amount of dying that i have put it through over the past years. That is why I use this products on my hair after washing as they prevent my hair returning to its previous straw like state.

1. I begin normally by running either Lee Stafford Argan Oil or John Freida Full Repair through the ends of my hair. I avoid putting this at the roots as it would add to the oil that is already there and it is the ends where my hair is the driest.

2. I would then either follow up with VO5 Smoothly does it or tony & guy depending on what style it is that I am going for. The smoothly does it is more for everyday hair, where as if i want to do a bigger style with more hold and a bit more volume then I will use the Tony & guy, as it adds a bit of grit to the hair to make use that it holds the volume that drying the hair creates.

3. Next is another oil, the VO5 Miracle Concentrate this is another one that I only use on the ends of my hair, it adds to leaving my hair extra silky smooth without making it greasy and needing to be washed sooner than needed.

4. Now this is an odd one, Lee Stafford my Big Fat Texturised Hair Super Spray this is a salt spray, hair spray and wax spray in one. Its great for using on wet hair to give it a bit of grit to your hair when your drying and styling it. But then if your wanting a beachy wave type of look, then this is also great just a small squirt in your hand and then scrunch through your hair and away you go.

5. Finally I always finish with Lee Stafford Poker Straight Flat Iron Heat spray, I use this before drying, straightening or curling as my hair is damaged enough so avoiding further damage from heat is always a plus.

Obviously when I can, I will allow my hair to air dry as my hair needs all the moisture that it can get. Though these products do help protect and repair my hair , if you can I would recommend avoiding any heat as it will slowly damage your hair.

Are there any products that your swear by?

  1. Wow you are so much more organised than me when it comes to hair! Usually I just use Tresemmé shampoo and conditioner and then just blowdry; nothing fancy for me! I've tried serums and mousses in the past but they've never really done anything fantastic for me. The one product I swear by is Batiste dry shampoo. I use it for adding volume without leaving my hair crispy which hairspray can tend to do!

I read your comment on llymlrs blog and I just want to say keep blogging! People are reading and we all feel a bit lost sometimes in the blogging world. xxx
